The village Community Cafe happens monthly.
Usually held on the last Friday of the month (check the village noticeboard and Facebook page for dates), the Community Cafe is run by volunteers to provide a welcoming cuppa and home baked scone and raise funds for the Dr Spence Memorial Hall.
In the cosy back hall, the cafe opens its doors from 11am - 12.30pm serving freshly brewed coffee, teas, and a delicious spread of freshly made scones including Gluten Free options.
Each September, the regular cafe doubles as a fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support and over the years has raised thousands of pounds for this worthwhile cause - no mean feat for such a small village.
The cafe is supported by the local Coop which provides milk, flowers and tea and coffee. Volunteers give their time and baking for free. All donations received from the cafe go to the Dr Spence Memorial Hall. We hope to see you soon!
